In the UK Easter is one of the major Christian festivals of the year. It is full of traditions, one of which is a treasure hunt. This year, let’s have a walk and hunt the treasure of Easter.

The treasure hunt will take place on a walking tour on Saturday 1 April. We will meet at the entrance of Endcliffe Park near Hunters Bar, then walk along the stream to Forge Dam. On the path, there will be 6 spots where you can hear the history of the local area and hunt for Easter Eggs.

Forge Dam Park

The walk will finish at Forge Dam cafe. Forge Dam Park is the fourth in a series of parks along the course of the Porter Brook. You can spend the rest of the day in the stunning place, keep walking up to the Peak District or take a bus home.

The tour will be led by our volunteers in a small group of 6-10 people. In order to set up the group in advance, please sign up and leave your information below. We will send you a notice with instructions one day prior to the event.
