Welcome to Sheffield!
We would like to meet you, make friends with you and help you to settle down in our city.
We plan to open the International Cafe, especially for students who are attending the pre-sessional language course.
The International Cafe is a great place for you to practice your English language skills and meet new friends from around the world. We plan to run a ‘Table Talk ‘ evening where we select a topic, give a short talk on the topic and in small groups will discuss further using a set of questions. The event is ‘Free of Charge‘ including the provision of refreshments (normally drinks + biscuits/cake).
To accommodate you we will open the cafe on Monday 15 and 22 August between 7.30-9.30 pm, if enough students respond to this invitation. To sign up for a place please complete the form below. Please return the form by Friday 5 August 2022. If we get enough interest we will contact you to confirm the cafe will be open.
