Curbar Edge is one of the most famous spots in the Peak District. On Saturday 17 June, we’ll have a walk there.

We’ll take a 218 bus from Sheffield to Baslow. The walk starts from Baslow bus stop, along the famous Curbar Edge to Forggatt Edge and finishes at Grindleford train station. We’ll take the train back to Sheffield.
We will give you the details of the walk on Friday 17 June.

Time and location to assemble: 9.50 am at Sheffield Interchange D3

Returning time: we’ll take a train back, arriving at 4.05 pm.

Transportation Expenses: (buy tickets yourself)

  • Outward: £2 for 218 Bus from Sheffield to Baslow.
  • Return: £ 2.80 for train from Grindleford to Sheffield. (If you have student railway card, please bring it for a cheaper ticket.)

Things to bring:

  • Money for tickets
  • Packed Lunch
  • Water (Be sure it’s enough for a full day walk.)

How long is the walk?

It’s about 8.5 km, we estimate to finish it in 4.5 hours.

NOTE:

  1. The weather might be very hot, please bring enough water with you. We suggest you to apply sunscreen to avoid sunburned.
  2. Please prepare enough change (cash). The cafe near Grindleford station only accepts cash.
